Our Caucedo terminal now boasts both cutting-edge electrified ship-to-shore cranes, hybrid RTG cranes, and a fleet of electric ITVs, which along with plans for an electric charging station this year, remove fossil fuel use from operations and slash carbon emissions. This aligns with DP World’s global decarbonisation strategy, which includes a 42% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030.
Our commitment to environmental stewardship is demonstrated through our investment in electrification. By upgrading our infrastructure at the Port of Caucedo, we not only enhance operational efficiency but also make significant progress towards our goal of becoming net zero. We will continue to invest in infrastructure that supports the Dominican Republic's vision of becoming a regional logistics hub.
