Demurrages

An agreement-based joint venture of Multimodal Solutions Ltd and Shipping Solutions. These charges apply to all shipments with a loading date on or after March 1, 2023.

Description of Demurrage Charges

  • Waiting time: Free time needed for the loading/unloading procedure must be agreed upon and calculated into our pricing.
  • Trailer and Terminal Rent: The cost of using Multimodal Solutions trailer and occupying space at the departing and receiving terminals.
  • Container Rent: The cost of using Multimodal Solutions containers is included in our pricing as per standard free times according to our tariff.

  • Terminal Rent (Container): The cost of occupying space at the departing and receiving terminal.

Basic principles

The above-mentioned charges are issued to the Freight Payer by default unless otherwise agreed prior to the contract.
Anything exceeding the agreed free time will be charged in accordance with Multimodal Solutions' standard terms.

Extra stops include 1-hour free time for custom formalities/loading/unloading.
